Anja Raudabaugh for California Lawyer Magazine

I was asked to photograph Anja Raudabaugh for the cover of California Lawyer Magazine. The story is about the fight to stop the proposed high speed train between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The train's proposed route would cut through much of Madera County farm land which the land owners are not pleased with. Anja is the director of the Madera County Farm Bureau and is heading the fight against the California High-Speed Rail Authority on behalf of the local farmers.

Anja was great and drove us around until we were able to find perfect locations. Thankfully Anja was on the famers side and we were allowed on to pretty much any property in the area that we needed to get on for the shoot. I'm sure we would have seen some shotguns had we been shooting for the opposition. As it was, I'm sure they're happy for the additional attention this story will bring.
