Yeah Yeah Yeah, Nick Zinner
Last weekend I got to photograph Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and a few other bands for Blackbook Magazine. The issue is coming out at the end of March and I while I can’t show those pictures just yet, this was an outtake I did for myself after the shoot. More on these shoots after the issue comes out.
Jeff Mallett ROB Magazine Cover
I shot Jeff Mallett a few weeks ago for the cover of Globe & Mail’s ROB magazine. Jeff was the first president and COO of Yahoo and is also an owner of The San Francisco Giants. The article is about Jeff’s bet that MLS soccer is going to be big in Canada and the US and his investing in The Vancouver Whitecaps.
Tosca Cafe – San Francisco
Last week I went to Rayko Photo Center to do some large format printing and made a 30″x40″ print of this image of Tosca Cafe in San Francisco. Dr. Wilkinson’s Spa
A few months ago I shot some images of Dr. Wilkinson’s Spa in Calistoga for Viv Magazine.
Dr. Wilkinson’s is a Spa in Calistoga and are known for their mud baths. The place has a 50′s roadside hotel vibe, which was kinda cool in a retro way, although not what I would typically expect from a swanky Napa spa. As for the mud bath itself, well, I’ve got to say that when we first walked in before it was prepped, the smell was horrible and I couldn’t imagine anyone paying to do this. But after being prepped it was a little more palatable.
