First Whiskey now wine. Abouta month ago I was asked by Wine Spectator to do a spread on the Kendall Jackson family for an article that looks inside the family and the company. I got to shoot some great people from the wine makers to the actual family.
First up is Rick Tigner. Rick is the President of the company. His "office" is in a large house (mansion?) on the private Jackson family estate in Healdsburg California. It's would be a pretty amazing place to come to work every day. Sprawling views of vineyards and the valley below. However what caught my eye as soon as I walked in, being an audiofile (sorry, I hate that word... sounds so pretentious) and gear geek, was the sound system in the living room. The speakers were taller than I am, and I'm sure cost more than my car. I meant to grab some iPhone snaps of the setup, but due to the limited time I had I needed to focus on the actual shoot rather than geeking out over the stereo system.
Here's the image the magazine ran. I prefer the darker image above, but I can see why they went with this instead.
